Bad design, falls down - I recently purchased the Galt playnest with gym and am extremely disappointed. I love the nest as it provides a soft comfortable support for my daughter, however the plastic pipes which form the framework for the gym are too rigid to create an arc and keep popping out which makes the gym collapse. My daughter (12 weeks) isn t even old enough to reach the toys so it s not as if it is recieving ANY pressure - it still collapses. I wish I d read all the reviews before I bought and am shocked that Galt haven t rectified the problem given that clearly so many people have found the same issue. It s almost as if they designed it but never actually tried to put it together themselves.
Frame is Rubbish - The frame just falls apart. We have even tried to stick it with duct tape and it just fell apart again. The ring is good. Wish we had bought a different playgym as this one was not a cheap one. Very dissappointed. I think Galt should completely redesign the frame so it stays together.
Not impressed - Simply not impressed because: 1) if you don t have a pump, you have to look for one (gas stations are the best place)2) the structure above kept on falling apart every time I put or take out my son3) the nest felt flattened only after two days after pumping
Poor design - The idea of a baby nest is great and this is a reasonable one especially in relation to the base. Where it is let down is the design of the frame. It is cheap plastic that has tubes that are meant to slot into each other-8 in all. Problem is that the design is poor and they keep popping out and are a pain to get back together. Galt should look at a more sturdy design as this is a big let down and having known this I would have looked at other companies.
Great item, forget the frame! - This is a fantastic item for a slightly older baby, when they are trying to sit up by themselves it provides a good support, and the different textures and toys on the doughnut cover keep baby amused for ages! Our wee one is even using it to push herself into a standing position. Its a great comfortable, secure and fun environment for baby. A word of warning though, avoid trying to put the frame up, as has been mentioned, you ll take years off your life, and when you finally do it and sit down to dry the tears of frustration, the baby will pull it all down again. The toys that come with the frame are great though.
